In these modern times, many betrothed couples search for a traditional wedding venue-one that imparts a sense of class and old-world charm. This is what we offer at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, located in the historic Midtown area of Houston. This magnificent church, built in 1927, tells only a part of the history of this parish. It was originally founded in 1851, as First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, on the corner of Texas and Milam streets.

If you are interested in having your wedding ceremony in our nave, please contact our office administrator at the number above. A meeting with our pastor is required before a down payment will be received. This is to ensure that the sanctity of our building is preserved by those who use it, and that an understanding of holy marriage is held in common by this congregation and the wedding party.
